What is it that moves the tides of emotion? Why is it that one can be joyous one moment, and consumed by sorrow the next? Very strong is the wave. The question is whether you can grab a board and surf? Can we influence the depth of the currents? Can we build a ship so strong it shelters us entirely? What fun would that be? What fun would that be to never get your feet wet? Swimming skills can help keep you afloat, and build strength. Even on those tough days when it seems easier to close yourself off from sorrow, remember you are gaining important coping skills.
